Putting a cork in it.
A few weeks ago, my hubby came home with a gift from my friend AJ. It was a bag of wine corks. She figured I'm artsy. I'll find a use for them. After much pondering and a modest $3.36 investment of a glue gun and a canvas, I made a funky trivet. (I glued the corks to the reverse side of the canvas) Now my pots will be sitting in style. Oh yeah!

Thanksgiving
I went to the cemetery on Thanksgiving weekend. Just to walk around and realize how grateful I am to be on the right side of the ground. I saw some beautiful kind of graves. Kinds you don't get in this age. Like, from the 1800's. This one was from 1843 and it broke my heart.
I hope you're as overjoyed to be alive as I am. Happy Thanksgiving.

I'm still here
I realize there's been a lull in the posting. Work is a little hectic, which has put the experimental cookery and crafts at a bit of a standstill. It's at this time of year that I look for shortcuts. I can't fully take credit for this recipe. It's another 'gross idea' till you try it. I love banana bread, and find that this is a great, healthier substitution for a banana bread craving.
Banana Eggs
3 eggs
1 banana
Blend'em up smooth in a blender and fry like pancakes. Try add cinnamon if you wanna live on the edge.
